Historical Description

An integral part of the Cantareira system, this reservoir was built simultaneously with the Jaguari reservoir as part of a water engineering project to supply water to the state of São Paulo.

Natural Description

Nestled within the well-preserved primary and secondary Atlantic Forest, the reservoir offers trails featuring bromeliads, orchids, capuchin monkeys, pacas, guinea pigs, and various bird species.
