
Nazaré Paulista was founded in the mid-19th century and developed through agriculture. The construction of the Atibainha Dam, part of the Cantareira System, transformed the city into a tourist hub, attracting visitors from São Paulo seeking nautical leisure and contact with nature.

Take the Dom Pedro I Highway (SP-065) to km 80, then follow the SP-036. The distance is 70 km from São Paulo, with an approximate travel time of 1 hour and 10 minutes.
