



Pinhalzinho is a municipality located in the state of São Paulo, with a population of approximately 15,388 inhabitants. The city has an area of 155 km² and is situated at an altitude of 910 meters. Founded in 1840 by the João Domingues Siqueira and Generoso de Godoi Bueno families, Pinhalzinho was elevated to the status of municipality on February 28, 1964, separating from Bragança Paulista. The region's economy was historically based on coffee cultivation, and currently rural tourism stands out with the production of exotic fruits such as pitaya, Turkish melon, blackberry and cacti, as well as mushrooms such as shiitake.
