PEDRA DO CARMO

Pedra do Carmo is an impressive monolith nestled in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range on the border between Piracaia and Joanópolis. With a summit at 1,435 meters altitude, it offers spectacular 360-degree views encompassing regional cities, the Atibainha River valley, and surrounding mountains. The trail to the summit is 6 km long and of moderate difficulty, passing through eucalyptus groves and preserved Atlantic Forest.
